Senior Football Player: Billy Lindemuth, Fall Athlete Spotlight

Roliana Hannan

William Lindemuth, or Billy as we all know him, is a senior at Audubon High School. He has been on the Varsity Football team since his sophomore year. Billy plays wide receiver and outside linebacker. He began playing football in middle school and has loved playing it since. One of his favorite things about playing is the friendships he has made and getting to hang out with his friends and play on the same field. He also takes pride in playing and competing for the town he grew up in. He commented on having coinciding jersey numbers with his friends Alex Gonzalez, number 3, and Amauri Pimentel, number 2. Billy is number 1.

At every game he plays his best to make his parents, friends, and coaches proud. His coach, Andrew Haubois’ words are his motivation to try his best every time he is on the field.  “Play for those next to you.”

For his pregame warm-ups he likes to listen to music and meditate to calm himself down and focus. Post-games he likes to go out to dinner with his family and friends.

This season was not what he expected it to be, but he is still glad that he got the chance to play his last year with his friends who he considers his brothers. He is proud of everyone for trying their best this season.

Billy’s achievements this season include 915 single-season receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. He is looking forward to playing football in college next year. He is interested in Kutztown, Wagner, and Misericordia University, but he has not applied nor committed yet.
